TERRY Dolan admits he has yet to decide on the future of on-loan Sunderland full-back Mark Maley.

Maley is rated doubtful for tomorrow night's Division Three encounter with Swansea City at Bootham Crescent after picking up a knee injury on Saturday.

And his current loan agreement comes to the end of its second month after Friday's match at Mansfield - a game for which Maley is in any case suspended.

Dolan is left with three options - retain Maley for another month, extend his loan deal for a season as done with Black Cats team-mate Michael Proctor or send the full-back back to the Stadium of Light after this weekend.

It seems likely Dolan will keep the 20-year-old's services for another month at least but the City chief insists he has still to make up his mind

"We will have to make a decision on that but I haven't made that decision yet," said Dolan.

The City manager could also still be without right-back Darren Edmondson tomorrow night.

Edmondson was a surprise omission from the squad that travelled to Layer Road on Saturday after picking up an injury in training on Thursday.

It is a similar injury to that which ruled Edmondson out for four games last month, although Dolan is confident an extended stay on the sidelines will not be needed.

"We are hoping that by not playing Darren at Colchester if he doesn't play on Tuesday he should be alright for Friday.

"But we don't want him to be playing and then putting himself out for three or four weeks like he did last time."
