WHAT a farce at Bootham Crescent. I can't believe what is happening there neither can my friends and fellow supporters of York City. I cannot believe the dire straits the club now finds itself in after all these years in the Football League. This lack of capital always happened to lesser clubs like Hartlepool and Darlington, but it was always said York City had money and resources in hand to come out of a thing like this.

I don't know who is to blame, but years ago the club chairman looked on being the chairman as an honour, probably expected to put in some money from time to time into the club and take his place in the main stand with pride and honour in support of York City.

I only hope Douglas Craig comes to his senses and turns his terrible decision round. I am sure he must have some regard for the club and I hope he will forget the banter he has had with supporters who, I am sure, wanted a degree of success for the club we love.

What of the other directors? Don't they have any say? I remember Barry Swallow as a wholehearted player with the club at heart for many years. I cannot believe he has no thoughts of the club and supporters who gave him a good life.

I can only see the City at Bootham Crescent and not to get mixed up with Wasps at Huntington Stadium. The RL club did the worst thing ever moving there from Clarence Street, lost all the money in a property deal and they have gone from bad to worse at the Huntington stadium. A very poor place for supporters. Keep City at Bootham Crescent.
