I agree with every word printed in the Evening Press leader (Wednesday, January 9) but it missed out two important points.

1. At a fans' forum held last year Douglas Craig stated that anyone who had £2million could have the club.

2. Since that statement was made it has come to light that it is worth £4.5million if bought by a property developer. That is exactly the same price the directors are now asking.

Is it not obvious that the directors are hellbent on turning Bootham Crescent into another housing estate. The time has come for the four directors of Bootham Crescent Holdings to stand up and say so. I would be most surprised if they did.
