Can I call through your site for all the armchair fans and the fans who have been forced away from the club over the past few years to rally round York City.

We must prove to the the business people in York and the wider football community how important this football club is to the fans and the citizens of York.

Can I also express my bitter contempt for the board of directors and especially the silent 'faceless' directors, who perhaps may have some shame over the way in which they have shamefully supported the actions of Douglas Craig.

One might have expected more compassion and dignity especially from the likes of Barry Swallow, who so ably captained York City during the hey-days of the old Second Division in the 1970's.

It also seems so ironic that the financial director, who has clearly performed so woefully over the past five years, to allow the club to get into such a financial condition, should now also be rewarded so handsomely. Shame on Douglas Craig, John Quickfall, Barry Swallow and Colin Webb.

If this is to be our last season in the Football League, then hopefully the fans can rally round to ensure we go out with a bang and not a whimper.

Let's all rally round and pray for a miracle.

Val Duggan,

Season ticket holder,

York.
