MANAGEMENT and staff at York-based Best Western, the successful UK group of 300 independently-owned hotels, are celebrating their third industry award in a year.
The organisation, whose HQ is in Clifton Moor, fought off tough competition from rival hotel groups to scoop the Best Advertising Campaign accolade at the annual Hotel Marketing Awards at London's Savoy Hotel for its massive promotion throughout October and November.
The award follows Best Western being declared Best Hotel Group or Chain at the 2001 Group Travel Awards and Best Hotel Group for group visits by readers of two industry publications.
