SESSIONS 'A' continue to dominate division one of the Focus Fireplaces York and District Table Tennis League.

They had an 8-2 win over Coneysthorpe 'A' which gives them a 16 point lead at the top. Chris Nicholas and Mick Willcockson each won three for the leaders.

Richard Moss won all three for Poppleton 'A' against Fulford Road WMC 'A' but Fulford Road ran out 6-4 winners.

A fine all-round team performance enabled INL 'B' beat Poppleton 'A' 6-4. Kohie Takashima won three for Poppleton. Alfie Potter was unbeaten for INL 'A' in their 6-4 win over 'B' team.

Despite Paul Creswell winning all three for Coneysthorpe 'B', Bootham Conservative Club 'B' recorded their second win of the season. Neil Lynch and John Wooldridge each won twice in their 6-4 win.

Division two leaders Poppleton 'B' were unbeaten 65-4 by Fulford Road WMC 'B'. Ed Wardman played well for Fulford to win all three.

York RI 'C' took the opportunity to close the gap by beating Sessions 'B' 7-3. Richard McCarthey was unbeaten for RI.

Jill Schofield's three wins helped Nestl Rowntree 'B' to a 5-5 draw with INL 'C'. Nestl Rowntree 'A' were also involved in a draw. Bootham Conservative Club 'C' held them thanks to three wins from Richard Ingelby.

Poppleton 'C' are still unbeaten in division three after their 7-3 win over Terry's. Chris Armstrong again won all three but it was quite a close match. Jim Logan was the pick of the Terry's players.

Three wins each for Brian Milner and Jim Stevenson kept BT 'B' in second place after their 9-1 win over Fulford Road WMC 'C'. Poppleton 'D' lost to York RI 'E' 6-4.

Simon Moss and Horst Meyer were unbeaten for Poppleton 'E' against the bottom team York Police. John Foxton's three wins helped Coneysthorpe 'C' draw 5-5 with Shepherds 'A'.

Norwich Union 'A' are the new leaders in division four after beating their 'B' team 8-2, with three wins each for Adrian Church and John McDonald.

Nestl Rowntree 'C' could have moved into second position but were held to a 5-5 draw with INL 'D'. Mick Belton played well for INL to win all three.

Shepherds 'B' beat York RI 'G' 7-3. Rick Gledhill played well to win all three including a marathon with Richard Leafe, Gledhill winning 19-21 21-17 31-29.
