PILLAGING PICT, who got off the mark at Catterick last month, is napped to double his score at Musselburgh tomorrow.

Northumberland trainer Jimmy Walton has a high opinion of his home-bred gelding, who goes for the feature race on the card, the £10,000 Anderson Strathern Challenge Trophy Novices' Handicap Chase.

Pillaging Pict was set some stiff tasks earlier in the season, which included taking on the top-class Barton, but the experience he gained from those outings are now standing him in good stead.

He created a good impression on his handicap debut on his latest start when he beat the favourite Damien's Choice by half a length, the pair finishing 15 lengths clear of the rest of the runners. Brian Storey is in the saddle again tomorrow.

Norton trainer Brian Ellison has a cracking record at Musselburgh and can add to his tally of winners with Bergamo in the Tote Bookmakers Handicap Hurdle.

Already a course winner this season Bergamo was unable to trouble the smart novice Khan Kicker at Musselburgh two weeks ago but, now contesting handicap company, he has plenty of appeal.

Trade Dispute makes his reappearance tomorrow in the Anderson Strathern Hunters' Chase. Denied an outing when Catterick's meeting last Saturday was abandoned, Trade Dispute is trained in North Yorkshire by Edwin Tuer and is likely to be aimed at the Cheltenham Fox Hunters' Chase next month.

A useful horse at this level, he commands plenty of respect, despite his lack of a preparatory outing.

Flash of Memory won at Musselburgh on her latest outing and is back for more in the EBF/Doncaster Bloodstock Sales Mares' Only National Hunt Flat Race.

The Richard Fahey-trained five-year-old will not find it easy under her penalty, but her form looks pretty solid.

She looks certain to give a good account of herself on behalf of her owners, which include her breeder, Joan Niven, the mother of top former northern jockey Peter Niven.

There will be a precautionary inspection at Musselburgh tomorrow at 6.45am because of a threat of frost. But officials are optimistic that racing will go ahead.

At Leicester tomorrow, Premier Drive looks the one to be on in the Oadby Novices' Chase, which has cut up to only four runners. George Moore's gelding is a previous winner over the course and distance.
