PEACHIE have won the first heat of Round One of the Fibbers/Evening Press Battle of the Bands.
Jim Broadbent and Richard Butler's band beat Lux Perpetua, Midas and The Modern Dance in Wednesday night's clash at Fibbers, in Stonebow, York.
Next Wednesday, in heat two, Fadge go into battle against The Back Wheels, Manydown and Raith. Doors open at 7.30pm for the 8pm start and admission is £3 on the door.
