IT'S only right to inform James Stewart (February 11) that neither the UK nor USA governments have a great deal to worry about when people go lynching effigies or burning flags. But if Mr Stewart had been on this planet on September 11, he would have seen that terrorists slaughtered thousands of innocent people irrespective of their race or creed.

If Mr Stewart ever comes down to earth he might like to ponder the fact that, while Islamic states have their fair share of starving people they have more than their share of oil, and he cannot blame us or the Americans if oil-rich Arabs spend £40 million on a racehorse while their people are starving.
