A SECTION of a York swimming pool has been closed after a swimmer complained of being sucked towards a water vent.
About four per cent of Yearsley Pool has been closed off while City of York Council investigates.
It follows a complaint from a girl who said she felt her hair being tugged towards the vent.
A council spokeswoman said: "The affected area has been cordoned off, but it is a very small area and the rest of the pool is still open and perfectly safe.
"We believe we know what the problem is and we are intending to rectify it during the Easter break."
