FLAMINGO LAND owner Gordon Gibb is pictured getting set for the opening of his theme park for the 2002 season by having a go on the park's new Cliff Hanger ride.
The new 55-metre high white-knuckle ride will catapult visitors into the air, then drop them and catch them before they hit the ground.
The ride is the tallest of its kind in the United Kingdom, said Mr Gibb.
"We're looking forward to a successful, fun-packed season this year," he said.
Visitors will have a chance to try out the Cliff Hanger when the theme park, off the Malton to Pickering road, opens tomorrow.
