AS an agnostic, I consider theories by both creationists and evolutionists.

Reader Tony Taylor (March 19) had found columnist Julian Cole's comments doubting creationism, to be "amazingly shallow".

Mr Taylor then put forward an absurdly simplistic story which he felt showed that only creationism (religion) had the answer to the mysteries of life.

While scientists can't be certain about "where the original matter comes from", equally, I'm sure creationist Mr Taylor cannot tell us where "Almighty God" came from.
