PICKERING Town and Selby Town clash tonight in their rearranged Northern Counties East League premier division encounter.

The two rivals were due to meet last month at Flaxley Road only for Selby to call off the game due to waterlogging.

And with the cancellation of their game on Monday against Borrowash adding to their fixture congestion, Pickering will be eager to get this match out of the way at the second time of asking.

"I'm keen to get all our games out the way now," said boss Jimmy Reid. "It has been a long hard season for us, a real learning curve.

"In a funny sort of way we could go through the rest of the season and not win a game and we still would have had a good year."

Reid will welcome back combative midfielder Danny Farthing into his squad, after he spent the Easter weekend with Harrogate Town, while Mark Wood could also return to the bench after a spell out through injury.

With 12 players out, Selby boss Bob Lyon has been forced to delay naming his side.

Ian Phillips, Stuart Lee and Christian Baxter were the latest to be ruled out through injury after Monday's defeat by Alfreton, leaving Lyon with a real selection headache.

"It is all in the balance at the moment," he said. "We will get a team out but I'm down to our Under-19s side at the moment and I'm just ringing around to see who I can get."

Pickering: Mitchell, Reid, Sturdy, Vasey, Connor, Farthing, McAuley, Willoughby, Morton, Zoll, O'Reilly, Wash, Dickinson, Beech, Wood, Arundale, Martin.
