POLICE are seeking a driver who may have vital information about the stabbing of a teenager in York.
William Meek, 17, was today still recovering in hospital after he was stabbed in the stomach by a moped rider outside Macdonalds furniture store, in Fossgate, on Wednesday night.
Police said today they want to speak to the driver of a car which had had to avoid the victim as he staggered in the road after attack.
Officers also want to speak to anyone who saw a rider on a yellow moped speeding off down Fossgate. The attack was reported at about 8.20pm on Wednesday.
A man was arrested in connection with the attack and has been released on police bail until April 19.
