KIRKBYMOORSIDE

A MEETING was held on April 3, at Cliffe Farm, Sinnington, by kind permission of Mr and Mrs Scaling. A beef practise judging session was held and the judge was Mr Mark Rooke. Results: Joint 1st Will Curtis and Andrew Dowkes, 2nd Laura Dowkes, 3rd John Simpson. An excellent supper was provided by Mrs Scaling and a vote of thanks was given by James Dowkes.

On April 10, a practise pony judging session was held at the home of Mr and Mrs C Church. The judge was Mrs Beverley Potter. Results were: Senior/Intermediate: 1st Rachel Scaling, joint 2nd Laura Dowkes and Simon Wass. Junior: 1st Anderw Dowkes, 2nd Karl Smith, 3rd David Simpson. Mrs Church provided an excellent supper and Sally Turnbull gave a vote of thanks.

RILLINGTON

ON March 20, Rillington YFC enjoyed a talk which was conducted by Michael Pearson on school projects in Nepal. Members were told of the history of the country and the charity which raises money for schools. We were also shown interesting slides on the schools created and the flaura and fauna of the country. Will Douglas proposed a vote of thanks.

On April 10, 20 members visited Charles Douglas Land Rover, based at Pickering, for an off-roading demonstration. Members enjoyed a great evening, taking it in turns to drive various model Land Rovers, which was immense fun. Stuart Maw gave a vote of thanks and thanked the three sales staff for their hospitality and for giving up their time which was greatly appreciated by all YFC members.

HELMSLEY

ON march 26, Helmsley YFC held their AGM. It was a evening which brought many changes. Andrew Carter recived thanks from the club for his work acting as chairman and secretary for over six years. The chairman's post fell to Richard Fairburn, secretary Robert Arrand, Mark Rooke remains as president. There was discussion of Helmsley YFC's 70th anniversary evening to be held in the Feathers, Helmsley, on June 15. Contact Robert Arrand for information.

On April 2, the club held a chicken and rabbit juging evening in preparation for the rally, we would like to thank Adam Collier for the evening.
