I WISH to comment on your article about the formation of the North Yorkshire Black Police Association, (April 12).
The aim "to help stamp out racism inside and outside the force" can only be applauded.
The problem I have is this. If, as the name seems to suggest, the association's main aim is to promote the interests of only black officers is this not in itself racist?
Will the association help all officers regardless of colour?
