IT is disappointing to see that those organising the traffic flow through local roadworks have forgotten how useful it was to have two distinct lanes on the westbound carriageway, one designated A64 only and the other for the York slip.
The idea came from one of your correspondents. Perhaps you could suggest it to highways department again.
