KENTMERE House Gallery's memorial exhibition of paintings by Jack Hellewell, 1920-2000, is on show until April 25.
Ann Petherick, owner of the gallery in Scarcroft Hill, York, says: "Jack is one of my favourite painters, and we have several examples of his work in our own collection. This new retrospective show is predominantly landscape painting in a semi-abstract style, with many scenes of Yorkshire."
As always at Kentmere House Gallery, the Artloan purchase plan will be available, allowing interest-free payments spread over ten months.
Gallery opening hours are "flexible to suit busy lives": every Thursday evening from 6pm to 9pm plus any other time by advance arrangement on 01904 656507/630963; mobile, 07801 810825; or ann.lots@ukonline.co.uk
