YORK St John College Rowing Club commemorate their 150th anniversary this weekend.
The club has organised a regatta on the River Ouse and a formal evening event with guest speaker Simon Dennis, gold medallist from the coxless eight Sydney Olympics in 2000.
The crews meet at 1pm at the York St John Boathouse on Marygate to start the races after which there will be a buffet by the river for all participators.
The celebrations continue into the night with a 150th anniversary party in Temple Hall, York St John College.
This year the club has continued in its success and celebrated achievements at the Yorkshire Head Race where the women's crew won the novice 4, headed by team captain Megan Irving.
