VISITORS flooded into Low Green, in Copmanthorpe, for the York village's 12th annual street fair.
The traditional Bank Holiday family event involved many charities and local organisations.
More than 1,000 visitors were able to peruse a wide range of arts and crafts on sale at 48 stalls.
Younger people enjoyed a bouncy castle, miniature train rides and balloon animal demonstrations.
Musicians entertained the crowds, and food and drink from a garden caf and stalls kept people fed and watered during four hours of fun.
BBC personalities Carolyn Hodgson and Anna Wallace opened the street fair at noon.
Villager Mike Fritton said the event was a great success and he was looking forward to the next.
Organisers hope that about £1,500 will have been raised to help maintain and restore St Giles's Parish Church.
