FATHER and son Colin and Max Driscoll dominated their win against Burn, which has led them to the top of the fourth division.

Andy Heutson and Keith Vollans top scored for Burn in their 134 while Max took 4 for 15 and Colin 4 for 40.

Driscoll junior opened the batting and reached 48 before being run out and this left the scene for his dad to strike an unbeaten 38 and along with Dave Olde see them home in quick time.

Heworth had few problems in beating Huntington. R Hawker was the only Huntington batsmen in double figures with 34 from the eventual all out score of 72.

John Penistone and Jamie Hunt led Drax to a moderate 136 for 9 against Tadcaster Magnets whose Madin and Phil Batt bowled well. McNamara's 42 no, 12 extras and 7 for Peter Dickens was the sum total of the Tadcaster reply as the remaining nine batsmen were all out without scoring.

John Joyce and M Taylor were the principal destroyers.

Bishopthorpe lead the fifth division after beating Stockton and Hopgrove by 78 runs.

Batting first the Bishops made steady progress but at 90 for 8 Derrick Slack and Phil Helliwell added a quick 42 to give a tea score of 132-8. Stockton were simply never in the game again. Mike Collinson carried his bat for 15 from 130 balls with Derrick Wilson topping the scoring with 23 not out as Mike Brown returned 2 for 5 from 14 overs.

A good all round performance from Woodhouse Grange skipper, Barry Johnson, 40 not out and 4 for 12, saw his team home against York by 19 runs and into second place.

Dave Cockerill hit a maiden 50 for his new club to enable Wheldrake to post a respectable 136-6.

Liam Elliker was the pick of the Copmanthorpe attack with four wickets.

But Wheldrake's hopes were blown away by an unbroken third-wicket partnership of 114 between Charles Mitton and Gavin Dickinson who found the gaps in the field with ease.
