A STAND of 251 set Dunnington on the way to victory by 169 runs in their Black Sheep Yorkshire Champions Trophy first round match at Streethouse.

Put into bat, Dunnington lost their first wicket with the score on 32, Hamid Khan being caught for 19 off the bowling of Vigars, who was the best of the Streethouse attack with one for 14 from his 10 overs.

The next two wickets fell with the total on 283, Simon Kellett and Collis King adding 251 for the second wicket.

Kellett's 132 included 18 fours and two sixes, while King's 116 included 14 fours and three sixes.

The Streethouse attack by this time must have thought the worst was over, but in came Paul Miles to hit a rapid 29 not out off 12 balls,with three siexes.

Dunnington's innings closed on 314-3 from their 50 overs.

The Streethouse reply got off to a disastrous start, Simon Cook sending back both openers for 0 and 10 respectively.

Worse was to follow as Mark smith dismissed the next three batsmen in his five overs at a cost of 15 runs.

Hamid Khan (2-21) and Steve Precious (3-33) saw Dunnington to victory. Cook ended with 2-25. The best of the Streethouse batsmen were Topliffe (47) and Johnson (15 not out).
