DAWN Exton shot out on treble then double 20 for a 100 finish as Cygnet eclipsed Half Moon 7-2 in York John Smith's Ladies League division one.

Exton's colleague Anne Bass was a double-ton scorer, while Half Moon's points came from Maureen and Claire Ferguson.

Carol Perrett and Babs Harrison both won well to put Phoenix 'A' on equal terms in the singles with their 'B' team and then combined to win the decider.

Tap's Sue Turpin took the opening game with two tons but were then put to the sword by Brigadier whose best was a 21 dart pairs from Carole Layne-Sue Lowery. Jean Elliott won Tap's other point.

Sarah Jackson and Sandra Fairclough put Clifton in the driving seat, but Sarah Bell and Chris Noble replied for Dringhouses. However, Clifton again came good to win 6-3.

Diane Armer partnered Joan Cockerill to secure Vaults' victory at Ox whose Janice Davies hit the tons.

Division two leaders Clifton 'A' were pushed hard by an under strength Shepherd Club and were gifted the vital fifth point after the club side's captain Angie Read had collected their lone singles point and they cleaned up in the pairs with Maggie Beddingham winning a lone handed pairs.

Severus threw the big scores but it was Clifton 'B' team's captain, Linda Embleton, with Angie Phillips who clinched the deciding leg.

Britannia 'A' came out on top of a 5-4 thriller against their 'B' team. A captain's role from Chris Swales, and partner Sally Swales earned victory.

Eileen White combined with Jean Smallwood to steer Leeman 'B' to win 5-4 against Slipper, despite being a player down. Floss Crampton just missed double nine for a 135 finish.

Jubilee are struggling to find their last season's form and lost 6-3 to Burton WMC who were well served by Paula Rose.

Holgate WMC lead division three. Pat Rainton-Max Smith secured a 5-4 win at Cue Ball. Puss 'B' are joint second with Leeman 'A', Puss well led by Michelle Kelly polished off all the singles at Old Ebor.

Leeman 'A' took the last game with Hazel Flintoft-Linda Abley after Sue Wentworth and Mavis Rawcliffe had put Tang Hall WMC on level terms.

It was also a last game win for Puss 'A' with Jo Bedda-Cath Duffill against Mitre whose Freda Harman and Cherelle Jarvis had made it all square.

Woolpack's captain, Doreen England scored well and Sharon Nelson put them 4-2 up. Nevertheless Leeman 'C' cleaned up the pairs, Shelagh Kenny-Colleen Cunniff sealing the win.

Mount and Ackhorne were level going into the pairs. Chrissie Knutton-Sue Holmes edged Mount in front and colleagues Heather Smith-Amanda Miller finished it off.
