Dunnington's success in division one of the Tyke Petroleum Men's League continued with 73 games at Bubwith.

John Sumner and Paul Birch and Phil Spencer and Andy Peeke-Vout scored 25. Bubwith's Doug Smith and Shaun Pinchbeck did well to win a rubber and score 18.

Howard Pallister and John Linfoot continued to lead with 27 of York's 67 against Riccall for whom Mark Allitt and Rex Pocklington scored 18.

Civil Service went top of division two after beating York II 75-33. Both James Carter and Shaun Owen and Philip Sinton with Adrian McClaren scored 27. York's Pete Sutherland and John Logan scored 23 of their 33 games.

Although Poppleton II's Dave Carling and Dave Jones scored 21 they were beaten by Wheldrake whose unbeaten Dave Parrish and George Tattersall won 22 games to put their side into second place.

Wigginton II's 69-39 win over Sherburn kept them top of division three, closely pursued by Dunnington II whose Anthony Downing and Andy Lydiatt's 29 proved a useful start towards 69 games against Cawood.

In division four leaders New Earswick lost 49-59 to Selby whose Steve Parr and Francis Millivojevic amassed 29 games.

Rufforth's 74-34 win against Cliffe moved them into first place. Andy Ivel and David Laws were again on form with 30 games.

Riccall II went second after beating Appleton Roebuck II 81-27 with Terry Knowles and Steve Smowton winning 30 games.

Nestl's form came apart at Strensall II where they could manage only 28 games.

Home pairings Owen Berger/Matt Brown and Dave Feathers/Daniel Pillai each scored 27.

Wheldrake's unbeaten division six run continued with 65 against Dunnington II.

Bishopthorpe II broke their duck at Cawood where John Fitch and Dave Moore were the week's top scorers with 32 out of 75 games.
