YORK Under-10s coach Andy Brown will step back in time when he takes the Clifton Park boys to Twickenham this Sunday, writes Tony Curtis.
The rugby juniors, along with their Under-12s club-mates, will grace the home of English rugby for the semi-final and final stages of the Prudential Cup.
The historic day a first for both the boys and the club, with the actual final played as a warm-up to the annual England v Barbarians game.
However former Malton and Norton player-coach Brown can say that he has been there done that, having played at Twickenham 22 years ago.
Back in 1980, Brown, who went on to captain Yorkshire Colts, was an 18-year-old schoolboy when he represented England Schools against Wales in the centres.
And like father, like son, York U10s scrum-half Thomas Brown will follow in his father's footsteps when he gets his chance to try and inspire the club to the cup.
