THREE resounding cheers to all members of the fairer sex who participated in the Race For Life and many thanks to the commercial sponsors and organiser Dave Martin.
However, while being afflicted with cancer is not confined to women alone, I was very dismayed to learn the Race For Life was restricted to women only. I wanted to participate. I have written to Chris Gardner, fundraising director for Cancer Research UK, requesting men be allowed to take part in next year's event. Let's double the number of participants to 8,000 and increase the money collected this year to £260,000.
