Clifton 'A' top York Atlas Auto Services Darts League division one following an excellent 7-2 win over Huntington SC.

Eighteen darts each from Graham Sanderson and Neil Hart spearheaded the Clifton attack, while Fred Brown took Huntington's only point.

Tony Raymond's 21 darts inspired Bishopthorpe to their first win of the season. Arthur Conyers backed him up and Bishopthorpe ran out 6-3 winners over Clifton 'C'.

In division two, Six Bells are top after a 7-2 win against Fulford Arms, Phil Good notching a maximum. Leeman's climb up the table continued with a fine ninth game over the previously beaten Clifton 'C'.

Reindeer's Bob Rochester (21) got them off to a fine start before Ebor hit back through Chris Platt (21) and Graham Hudson (18). Howden were 6-3 winners at Burton 'B' while Woolpack went down 5-4 to Crescent 'B'.

Nick Katsarelis and Dave Clemit combined to take the victory for Hospital Social Club. However, good scores from Jason Powney saved Bay Horse 'B' the aggregate point.

Burton 'B' won within the singles at Skelton SC whose Vaughan Huggins was their only success while a fine 21-darter from James Allen inspired Alice Hawthorn to a 7-2 victory at Winning Post.

Shepherd 'A' maintained a four point margin at the top of York John Smith's Men's League division one with a convincing 6-3 at Sun Inn, Acomb.

Sun started brightly when Chris Thompson took the opener in 21 then Tony Cooper followed with a fabulous 15 darts, but only Doug Sutcliffe added.

Dave Gibbons turned the match with an excellent 18 darts and the Shepherd side rallied with flurries of big scoring.

Cygnet 'A' team skipper Keith Turner led his men to a 7-2 victory at Lighthorseman with a splendid 16-darter and John Mooring gamed in 21. Horseman's Mark Addinall included a 180-score.

Green Tree 'B' beat Dringhouses 5-4, Steve Snowdon checking out on 127, bull, and Darren Hoban partnering Tony Snowdon to get the winner. Alan Lawson sealed Swan's win over Holgate within the singles.

Consistent play earned Trafalgar victory at Bootham Tavern. Rich Plummer put them 5-1 up. Poacher's Ray McInally eased out in 18 darts in a 6-3 at Osbaldwick who had Pete Cooper closing in 117.

Railway Institute 'A' team's Tom Turley and Pete Watson starred in their unsuccessful attempt to unseat division two leaders Shepherd 'B', while second-placed Cygnet 'B' fell victims to 21 darts each from Phil Smith and Garry Strider. Andy and Keith Mercer paired to clinch the decider for Victoria Vaults.

Barry Houlden-John Morrison squeezed the decider for Groves against Sun 'B', while Gordon Foster found a fine 111 finish in Flag's 7-2 over Ebor.

Tap and Spile's 7-2 York John Smith's Mixed League win at Cygnet 'C' included a fine 20 darts from Dave O'Hara.

Leeman 'B' team's Dean Smallwood shot an excellent 21-darter, but Queen had Pete Leake throwing a maximum and Michelle Britton partnered John Smith, who checked out treble 20, bullseye to collect the decider.

Huntington won a thriller at Cygnet 'A' whose Kevin Walton gamed on 104 to record 21 darts. In reply Tracey Farmeary won in the 20 darts and Rich Plummer-Angie Hields settled the 5-4 score.

Jane Dobson-Nigel Channing took Slipper 'A' to a 5-4 result over Bay Horse.
