YORK & District Against Motor Neurone Disease is a small local charity which supports people suffering from this devastating and terminal illness who live within 20 miles of York. We provide equipment and advice and fund the services of a specialist nurse whose expertise is of unimaginable help to the patients and their families.
Our city centre collection in May raised £834 - well in excess of last year's total. Recent publicity surrounding Diane Pretty's battle with the disease highlighted our cause and we would like to thank all who gave so generously and our small band of collectors for their help.
The money collected will be used to provide patient care.
