York and District Netball League vice-chairwoman Val Kennedy has become the only person in North Yorkshire to be awarded a prestigious accreditation for training match officials.
Kennedy, the only active 'B' award All England Netball Association umpire in York, has now gone a stage further by gaining her AENA Accreditation Certificate for Umpire Tutoring.
This now allows Kennedy to teach 'C' and 'B' All England standards, and as an umpire tester, she hopes to see her students go on to gain their AENA umpiring qualifications.
