Ryedale trainer Richard Fahey and his star apprentice Paul Hanagan - a combination in top form - make the long journey to Windsor tomorrow in search of double success with Dakota Sioux and Vintage Premium.

Dakota Sioux, whose recent win at Hamilton contributed to a double for Fahey and a treble for Hanagan, goes for the Mail On Sunday/Tote Mile Handicap Qualifier and looks to have an excellent chance.

The five-year-old beat the favourite Chorist by a length on her latest start, which was achieved on her favourite good-to-soft ground.

Similar conditions are promised tomorrow and my Nap selection Dakota Sioux could be on the warpath again.

Vintage Premium, a high-class performer two seasons ago, went through last year without a win but this very able gelding gave notice of a return to form with a sterling third-placed effort in a hot handicap at York last week.

He turns out tomorrow for the £15,000 Tote betXpress Rated Handicap and, with the ground ideal for him, I expect him to be a major contender.

In the £25,000 Gala Bingo Berkshire Stakes I fancy Carnival Dancer to come up trumps for Sir Michael Stoute.

The lightly-raced four-year-old looked a class act in the making last season and is marginally preferred to Asian Heights, a live Derby hope last year until he suffered an injury after winning the Predominate Stakes at Goodwood.

Tomorrow's other two meetings in England are jumping fixtures, with champion jockey Tony McCoy looking increasingly likely to be the star at Southwell.

He has a host of fancied mounts and I would not be surprised to see him achieve a five-timer with Canadiane (2.10), Ghadames (3.10), Let's Fly (3.45), Ceasar's Palace (4.15) and Golden Coin (5.15).

Middleham trainer Ferdy Murphy can win at Fakenham, where recent scorer Kildrummy Castle merits attention in the Light Dragoons Handicap Chase. Jason Maguire teams-up with the evergreen ten-year-old.

The big race tomorrow is the Irish 1,000 Guineas (4.00) at The Curragh.

If the English equivalent has any bearing on the result, then Alasha, who finished third at Newmarket earlier in the month, must go well on a course which is expected to suit her even better.

With the first two from that race both waiting for next month's Vodafone Oaks, Alasha, trained by Sir Michael Stoute for the Aga Khan, might be capable of achieving Classic glory.
