BRIDES-TO-BE got inspiration for their big day at a wedding fair organised by our sister paper, the Selby STAR.
The event took place at the Abbey Leisure Centre, in Scott Road, Selby, yesterday.
Goole bridalwear company Pride of Bride displayed a range of wedding dresses, menswear, bridesmaid dresses and mother-of-the-bride outfits in two catwalk shows.
Students from Selby College modelled creations from the collections of students taking the national Diploma Fashion and Clothing course at the college.
Exhibitors were available to give advice on all aspects of planning a wedding from flowers and venues to cakes and limousines.
Photographers and video specialists were on hand to offer to help happy couples capture their special day on film, and Fine Frames, of Escrick, recommended preserving the bridal bouquet forever in a special frame.
The first 50 blushing brides through the doors received a free goodie bag, including toiletries from Lush, Boots and Avon.
