Ollie Hughes, the singer who is doing a tribute to superstar Robbie Williams during and after racing at Wetherby tomorrow evening, might not be the only person hitting a high note there.

Cumbrian trainer Barry Murtagh also has the potential to play a leading role, not least with Lively Dessert in the Rocom Handicap Chase.

The nine-year-old ran a cracking race at Kelso at the beginning of the month to chase home three-length winner Jowoody.

A reproduction of that form tomorrow will make him a tough opponent, with David O'Meara again taking the mount.

Camair Crusader can be another winner for Murtagh in the Wetherby Steeplechases Sponsorship Club Handicap Hurdle.

Padge Whelan has the leg-up on the eight-year-old, just as he did at Newcastle last month when Camair Crusader romped home with two-and-a-half lengths to spare over Arctic Splash.

Although that race was only a seller, this event is little better and Camair Crusader is napped to follow-up.

Also worth noting at Wetherby is the in-form Eastern Tribute (7.10) and the promising Hallyards Gael (7.40).

Darryll Holland, who missed yesterday's action because of a stomach complaint, heads to Ayr tomorrow with the prospect of enjoying a profitable afternoon.

He teams-up with the potentially smart Sir Albert in the Ayr May Novice Stakes, and also the progressive Anna Kareena in the Jimmy Porter 60th Birthday Handicap.

The pair, both trained at Newmarket by Jeremy Noseda, and both recent winners, boast excellent prospects.

Ryedale apprentice jockey Paul Hanagan, who on Monday rode his eighth winners in eight days, can start another winning sequence aboard Patrician Fox in the workingwithhorses.com Handicap.

John Quinn's sprinter showed a return to form was imminent with a solid third-placed effort at Newcastle last week. Promotion to number one is on the cards here.

Kieren Fallon looks likely to enjoy a winning mount on the promising Pentecost in the Crosshill Classified Stakes, while Robbie Can Can has shown enough ability so far to suggest a bold bid is likely in the Arran Rating Related Maiden Stakes.

At Goodwood, Skylark, who made an encouraging start to the season with a third-placed effort at Brighton, makes appeal in the Goodwood Aerodrome Handicap, while the drop in class should suit Injaaz in the Casco Classified Stakes.
