FORMER York Wasps coach Leo Epifania has got back on the coaching ladder Down Under - and he hasn't ruled out a return to England next year.

The Aussie, who was forced to leave England after the collapse of the Wasps, is now assisting head coach Steve Goshn at Sydney Bulls, who play in the Metropolitan Cup, a competition comparable to the Northern Ford Premiership.

"I'm back in Sydney trying to get some consistency back after the major disappointment in York," he told the Evening Press.

"I'm making some good headway especially for next season. At the moment I'm assisting with the Sydney Bulls but a permanent title was not possible as all position were already filled.

"But for now I am happy with that. I am still in contact with European clubs as I

think that my style of coaching agreed with England and the players.

"I just hope what happened at York didn't do my reputation damage over there."

He added: "I am still in touch with friends from York, so I know the goings-on."

Epifania (pictured right) was formerly assistant to Goshn, a former North Sydney Bears and Western Suburbs boss, at Metro Cup rivals Guildford.

Since his return to Sydney, the Bulls have climbed to second in the Metro Cup table, beating leaders Guildford in their latest game.
