I WAS very amused to read the letters from Julie Dickenson (May 31) and Tracey Simpson-Laing (June 3).

Perhaps it has not occurred to them that some people like to dine in peace, without having to listen to the inane wittering of children.

Then you get the whining and squabbling along with the odd bits of food becoming airborne.

Now that responsible people can almost always dine without breathing in other people's cigarette spoke, how about a movement to spare us the annoyance of other people's children as well?

Let's see advertisements for 'child-unfriendly' restaurants, and I, for one, will dine out far more often.
