Two wins in six days have put Huntington WMC top of League 1 in York Amateur Bowling Association Veterans' Bowls League.
They beat Nestle 28-8 last Thursday when on ten games were played because many greens were under waiter following heavy rain. Then on Tuesday they defeated Fulford Conservatives 'A' 22-12.
Barbican, the previous leaders, did not play last Thursday and were held to a 13-13 draw on Tuesday by Forum 'A'.
In League 2, Bert Keech 'B' kept their 100 per cent record as they trounced Osbaldwick 'B' 36-4 on Tuesday. Dunnington 'B' beat Fulford Conservatives 'B' 25-10 to take second place.
Bert Keech 'C' stay top of League 3 despite suffering their first defeat of the season, losing 14-11 to Nestle 'C'.
Scarcroft now lead League 4 by six clear points after a 21-11 win against Bishopthorpe 'A' on Tuesday to add to their 26-13 win over Ainsty 'A' last Thursday. West Park 'A' suffered their first defeat of the season, losing 27-10 to Poppleton 'A' last week.
West Park 'B' lead League 5 after a 15-14 win over Ainsty 'B', while previous leaders Holgate lost 22-15 to Bishopthorpe 'B'.
