Bubwith lost their lead at the top of Foss Evening Cricket League when they suffered a second successive defeat, this time by Heworth.

James Preston (48no) well supported by Tom Quinn (29) enabled Heworth to post 107-6, Chris Young claiming 3-10.

Bubwith's reply revolved around Paul Hemingway 47 as no other batsman could get to grips with Tom Quinn (3-13) and Matthew Wragg (3-24).

Wragg got a direct run-out from the boundary to give Heworth a three-run success.

Woodhouse Grange have gone top after beating bottom of the table Stamford Bridge by ten wickets.

Matt Beckett's 36 was the backbone of Stamford's 72-8.

This was never enough as Neil Jackson (41) and Howard Johnson (29) helped take Grange to thei sixth victory of the season.

Pocklington rattled up a formidable 151-6 at Aldby Park, Andy Inns (49) and Rod Hinch (31) being the main contributors as Kev Smith took 5-19.

Aldby began brightly, Andy Milner hitting a quick-fire 35, but Alex Downey (2-15) bowled well to restrict the scoring.

It was left to Alan Day with an unbeaten 39 to steer Aldby to 151-6 to tie the game.

Yapham beat Barmby Moor by 56 runs to keep within reach of the leaders. Paul Clarke hit a fluent 56 in his side's 131-8.

John Flint (4-45) and Clark (2-15) struck as Barmby struggled to 75-8.

Wilberfoss stay well clear of their rivals in division two after beating Melbourne, who reached 86-6. Phil Stothard led the Wilberfoss reply with 40.

Middleton were indebted to Mark Anderson's unbeaten 27 as they ran out winners on the last ball over Londesborough Park.

Thixendale recorded their first victory of the season as they totalled 94-5, with an impressive innings of 52 from John Metcalfe.

Mike Walker then bowled six overs to claim 4-9 as Wheldrake closed on 75-4.
