YORK City fans will get the chance to see new trialist James Okoli in action when the Minstermen face Bracknell on Friday.
Okoli had plyed his trade in Holland as a centre-back before moving to England where he worked with City coach Luther Blissett at Watford.
And it is his connection with Blissett that has seen Okoli start pre-season training with City.
"He worked with Luther, Watford brought him over a couple of years ago from Holland," said City chief Terry Dolan. "We've just seen him in training, we need to see him now in a game, that is why we will have a look at him on Friday night."
Okoli could also play some part in City's friendly against Joseph Rowntree School tomorrow.
The Minstermen will play a Sixth Form/Staff team to celebrate the school's diamond jubilee, kick-off 1.45pm.
Richard Cooper will not play a part though after he tweaked his knee ligaments.
City chairman John Batchelor plans to have a run out for City in the final few minutes against Bracknell.
