TADCASTER Magnet continued their winning run in division two with a win over Malton & Old Malton.

The Brewers set what looked to be a modest target of 158-9, thanks to the deadly accuracy of Malton's Tony Linsley (7-34). Paul Clark struck 67 and Martin Lambert 43.

Clark then came back with a match-winning return of 8-54 as Malton subsided to 120 all out, with Gary Hall's 29 the only score worth mentioning.

Stamford Bridge's win was more convincing, as Stuart Boyle (85no) and Philip Hill (28no) steered the hosts to an eight-wicket victory, after Eddie Rosa had earlier made an unbeaten 65 in Castleford's innings of 156-6.

Another eight-wicket haul, this time from Harrogate's Peter Kippax (8-29), ensured whatever hopes bottom side Clifton Alliance harboured of reaching a huge target of 248 were mercilessly dashed. Alliance crashed to 97 all out.

Harrogate's total of 247-6 was thanks mainly to a century from Matthew Cousen (101) and 77 from Rupert Scales. Alistair Wray took 3-70.

In the east coast derby at North Marine Road, Bridlington's overseas player, Hafiz Khalid (79), scored more than half of his side's 140-5 to seal a fairly easy five-wicket victory over Scarborough.

Boro's total of 139 all out, which included knocks of 33 from Adam Lyth and 28 from Damian Readman, was never going to be enough, despite the bowling of Matthew Kings (3-28). William Hall was the best bowler for Brid, taking 3-39.

Studley Royal suffered their fifth defeat in six games as Hornsea raced to an eight-wicket triumph.

Charles Scatchard (44no) ran short of partners as John McKenzie (5-43) and R Megson (3-22) bowled the home side out for 126.

Hornsea's South African player, Duncan Griebenouw, hammered 75no to see his side to 129-2.

Bubwith remain just above the second relegation spot after losing at Wilberfoss.

Paul Lofthouse (5-34) and Des Healy (3-24) took all the wickets to fall in the Bubwith innings of 165-8, in which Gary Moore made 54 and John Waterhouse 31.

After losing Dave Gilbertson (37) retired hurt, Ian Clish struck 57 and Julian Atkinson 42 not out, as 'Foss made light work of the job.
