IT is as it was in division six, as the top four sides all won.

Stamford Bridge had a convincing win at Thorp Arch, where Nick Watson took 3-23 to help restrict TABS to 157 all out, with Nick Ramsden top-scoring on 35.

Graham Flint (55), Ian Fraser (29) and John Dodd (28) helped Bridge to their eighth win of the season, as they cruised past the TABS score for the loss of three wickets.

New Earswick won despite being bowled out at Stillington for just 131. Darren Powell (3-28), Michael Duggleby (3-23) and Clive Wakefield (3-15) did the damage with the ball while David Scott scored 27 and Chris Smith made 29.

Martin Hewitson's 5-44, together with Rob Wood's 3-16, then bowled out the hosts for 90.

An identical score was made by Londesbrough Park II, this time batting first, with Andy West's 33 and Richard Salmon's 25 together representing almost two-thirds of the total. The main damage was done by Mike Hemingway (7-41), ably supported by Mark Redhead (3-22).

Hovingham made short work of the target, as Philip Aconley (40no) and Jason Dale (33no) enjoyed an unbroken partnership for the second wicket.

Fourth-placed Civil Service recorded their fourth win of the season when their total of 194-8 proved to be too much for Cawood

Cawood went down with barely a fight and were all out for 92, with half of the wickets attributable to John Winfield (5-30).

Bob Graves had made 63 and Dave Turner 25 for Service.

The remaining game involved two of the three bottom teams, with Wilberfoss, who started the day with everyone above them, coming out on top against Heslington.

Richard Lofthouse struck 67 and Geoff Room 36 as 'Foss posted a target of 184-8.

Neil Benn, with 4-54, and Shaun Thompson, with 3-54, were the main protagonists on behalf of Heslington, who then disappointed by only scoring 105 all out in reply, with Lofthouse adding 3-28 to his earlier batting performance for Wilberfoss. Neil Guyan (3-8) and Tony Peters (3-50) also picked up their share of the spoils.
