Richard Hughes, the star of the show in the Shergar Cup Jockeys' Challenge at Ascot on Saturday, can enjoy further top-of-the-bill success at Brighton tomorrow.

The tall and talented Irishman has a host of fancied mounts and could well go close to repeating the three winners he rode on Saturday, which went a long way to securing victory for the Great Britain and Ireland side, captained by Kieren Fallon, over the Rest of the World.

Hughes, who was at his most daring when producing Goldeva late and fast in the six-furlongs handicap, rode his other two Ascot winners for Middleham trainers; Bouncing Bowdler, trained by Mark Johnston and Kings Welcome, who hails from the Chris Fairhurst yard.

Among Hughes best rides tomorrow is Soltaat in the George Eden Memorial Handicap over a mile.

The Alec Stewart-trained three-year-old failed by just a short-head to catch the favourite Compton Arrow on his last visit over a distance just short of seven furlongs.

Tomorrow's longer distance should suit him better and he is napped to score his first win.

Glory Days can be another winner for Hughes in the Don Miller Bakery Selling Handicap.

Richard Hannon's four-year-old is burdened with top weight in this six furlongs dash, but he has shown enough in previous races to suggest that he should be involved in the finish.

Amount (2.15), an interesting newcomer trained by Amanda Perratt, is among Richard Hughes' potential winners.

Madrasee should take plenty of catching in the Tina Goldberg-Lowe Memorial Classified Stakes over an extended five furlongs.

The four-year-old is a previous winner over this course and distance and he will have the assistance on smart apprentice Ryan Moore, who returns to action tomorrow after two falls on successive days on this course last week.

Tomorrow's only other meeting is a jumps card at Newton Abbott, where it could be worth supporting previous course-and-distance winners Helvetius (3.00), Totland Bay (3.30) and Sylva Legend (4.30).
