TEAM B&Q Jet York City Racing Team suffered more bad luck in the British Touring Car Championship at Knockhill, Scotland.

Following on from the nightmare suffered at Snetterton, the production-class team suffered another blown engine that ruled Hyla Breese out of both races.

To make matters worse, Jim Edwards Jr was controversially barred from racing in the sprint race after a timing discrepancy over a tyre-change.

Consolation came in the feature race where Edwards Jr put his disappointment behind him to finish among the points in seventh place.

Although a replacement engine could have been used to get Breese on the grid, York City chairman and racing team owner John Batchelor said it was a calculated decision not to race the luckless driver.

Having already used up his quota of engines for the season, another replacement would have meant yet another five-point penalty for Breese, who is currently on minus six points.

Also racing at Knockhill, York City Ladies Racing Team driver Jo Kraemer finished 23rd out of a 28-strong field in round 11 of the elf Clio Renaultsport UK Cup.
