THE weather again decimated the Horwath Pulleyn Heselton York Vale League with very little cricket being possible.
In division one, Bishopthorpe gained valuable points by defeating bottom club Hemingbrough in their fight to get away from the relegation zone, and they move in front of York Post Office, who went down at home to Stockton & Hopgrove.
Division two leaders British Sugar duly beat bottom club Clifton Alliance and have a handy 33-point lead over Westow, who beat Fulfordgate by five wickets.
North Duffield lost ground when they were held to a tie, their second of the season, by Wheldrake.
Hirst United retained their lead in division three following their defeat of Ben Johnson, while Melbourne lost to Woodhouse Grange.
The only other game played was in division five where Wheldrake climbed off the bottom by winning at Pocklington.
