SHREWSBURY Town arrive at Bootham Crescent tonight looking to build on their promising start to the season, writes Dave Stanford.

However, manager Kevin Ratcliffe has a number of injury worries to contend with, most notably last season's top scorer Luke Rodgers.

Rodgers scored Town's winner in the 1-0 win over Exeter City at Gay Meadow on Saturday but then limped away from the fray with a groin injury.

Rodgers, who scored 22 goals last season, was still undergoing treatment today.

To make matters worse for Ratcliffe, Rodgers' strike partner, the experienced Nigel Jemson, is also doubtful.

Jemson also suffered a groin strain against the Grecians.

Definitely ruled out tonight is the former Sunderland winger Sam Aiston, who has proved a thorn in City's side in recent clashes between the two sides.

Aiston suffered knee ligament damage against Exeter and is expected to be out for a minimum of six weeks.

Ratcliffe, who only has a senior squad of 19 players including former City midfielder Mark Atkins and one-time loan player Mick Heathcote, may have to turn to veteran Ian Stevens should Rodgers or Jemson miss out.
