POLICE raided a house in York today as part of a nationwide investigation into the distribution of child pornography on the internet.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesman confirmed that property - believed to include computer equipment - was seized when officers raided the address in York early this morning. The recovered property was today being examined by investigators.

No arrests were made in the York raid, which was part of a co-ordinated campaign which saw warrants simultaneously executed at 18 addresses across Britain and Northern Ireland.
