Bob Geldof, the Irish knight, famine crusader, dot.com entrepreneur and rock veteran, is to play the Grand Opera House, York, this autumn.
Geldof, right, now 47, will perform his old Boomtown Rats hits, material from Sex, Age And Death, his first solo album in five years, and music from his homeland on November 24, at 8pm. Tickets have just gone on sale at £17.50 and £15.50 on 01904 671818.
