A MOTORCYCLIST was rushed to hospital after his bike was involved in an accident with a car on the A19 near York.
The man, who was riding a Honda motorcycle, was taken to York District Hospital after his bike was in collision with a Renault Clio near The Parsonage Country House Hotel, at Escrick. The accident happened at about 3.40pm yesterday. Paramedics attended the scene and treated the motorcyclist, who was injured, but conscious.
No further details about his injuries or identity were available at the time of going to press. The road was blocked for just over half an hour.
