SNACK and ingredient retailer Julian Graves is to open its second shop in York on Thursday.
The 500 sq ft shop, in Coney Street, has undergone a £35,000 refurbishment, and will generate four new jobs.
Like the existing Julian Graves shop in the BAA McArthurGlen designer outlet village on the outskirts of the city, the new branch will sell a range of products, including dried fruits, nuts, Bombay mix, plus confectionery such as bon bons, Pontefract cakes and sugared almonds.
Store supervisor Elizabeth Wilkinson said: "We are very excited about opening our second outlet in York." She said that as a nationwide organisation operating at the luxury end of the food market it offered goods that were hard to find in major supermarkets. "When Delia Smith commands the country to seek out porcini mushrooms and whole peel caps, we can help."
