CLOSE your eyes, and you are transported thousands of miles east. The sizzle, the steam, the slightly sweet smell of authentic Dim Sum: you could be in bustling Canton in south China or the harbours of Hong Kong.
In fact these sensations are found right in the heart of York. Stephen Hudson and his stepson Zhuo Gang have brought an exotic new flavour to Newgate Market with their open air takeaways. Their enterprise is a tasty addition to the city's eating out experiences.
Perhaps we should do a culinary exchange: a Yorkshire pudding stall might go down a storm in a Beijing street market.
