MALTON trainer Tim Etherington is considering using blinkers on Evening Press, the racehorse leased by the readers of this newspaper, for her next race at Ripon.
The three-year-old filly dubbed 'the people's racehorse' has yet to taste success on the track.
But trainer Etherington is now looking at using blinkers in a bid to help her concentration on the race.
Press has a slight over-reach after her last-placed finish at Newcastle on Friday, but she should be back cantering by the end of the week in preparation for the visit to the Garden Racecourse in Ripon on August 31.
Press is being lined-up for a three-year-old 0-60 selling handicap over one-and-a-quarter miles.
