I APPLAUD the plan to make it an offence to use a mobile phone while driving (August 20).
However, smoking at the wheel could be as dangerous for obvious reasons. I have seen people map-reading and eating while driving. All of these actions put lives at risk.
Ministers must look at the whole picture.
